Can PEMF improve your riding?
Updated: Apr 28, 2019
Most riders do a great job of treating their horses like athletes but then we drop the ball when it comes to treating ourselves as the athletes that we are. SPOILER ALERT: riding correctly is hard and how we feel will affect how our horses feel and perform.
I think we can all agree that it is impossible to sit the trot well when you have a tight lower back and hips. It is nearly impossible to keep equal weight in both stirrups if an old injury is flaring up and nagging you. It's always one of those jokes-that-isn't-really-a-joke when it comes to horseback riders not following doctor's orders on rest and recovery, which is bad because at the end of the day it can negatively impact our horse.
So how can implementing regular PEMF for the rider improve all of this?
Athletes across many of the Olympic sports (not just the ones that include a horse!) have been utilizing PEMF to increase their performance by creating a healthy environment within their body. A healthier body, with cells that are properly nourished and full of oxygen, will recovery faster and be more mobile.
I don't know a single rider that doesn't complain of stiffness, soreness, or pain. Using Magnawave PEMF can help reduce all of that by flushing out lactic acid; promoting cellular recovery and regeneration; and increasing cellular metabolism. All of this leads to a better range of motion, more flexibility, and a higher level of strength - all of which leads to a better athletic performance from the rider to lead to a better athletic performance from the horse.
